Helicopter Spirals Out of Control into Palm Trees at Frequented California Shoreline
A helicopter soaring above a popular coastal coastline suddenly commenced twirling out of control, eventually dropping height and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as beachgoers looked on.
Recordings uploaded on social media show the aircraft beginning to twirl above Huntington Beach then descending near the perimeter of the beach, where it ends up lodged between palm trees and a set of stairs near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Details
Emergency responders stated five individuals were taken to hospital including a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the crash on the weekend.
Three people on the pavement were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were still under review.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
